Our Pinciples

At Pacific Rehabilitation and Pain, we are dedicated to helping individuals overcome addiction and regain control of their lives.

Prioritizing Harm Reduction

We understand that addiction can be a life-threatening disease. Our primary goal is to keep patients alive and prevent overdoses while we work towards their recovery. We recognize the complexity of addiction, often rooted in emotional trauma, mental illness, and multiple substance use.

Stepwise Approach

For patients using multiple substances, we take a stepwise approach. We begin by addressing the most dangerous or treatable substance first, gradually moving towards comprehensive recovery. For instance, if a patient is using both methamphetamine and opiates, we focus on treating the opiate use disorder first before addressing the methamphetamine use.

Respect and Stigma-Free Environment

We believe in treating our patients with respect and dignity. Our language reflects this approach, using person-first language and non-judgmental terminology. By reducing stigma, we create a supportive environment for the care of individuals with addiction.

Multidisciplinary Approach

Successful addiction treatment involves a multidisciplinary approach. Alongside medications, we strongly encourage patients to seek counseling services and actively participate in mutual support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or Young People in Recovery.
